Recently started by former Yankee great Don Mattingly, Mattingly Baseball sells both wood, aluminum and 100% composite bats featuring a unique. patented “V-Grip” technology. The company says that the V-Grip is designed to “keep the knocking knuckles aligned and shift the bat away from the palm and into the fingers– correctly forcing your grip to be in perfect alignment every time.”<\/p>\n
Their aluminum bats are made of high end alloys with a shot peened and anodized finish and are the company says they are the first aluminum bats on market with the specially designed V-Grip. The bats are available in Youth, Adult, Fastpitch models (Ripped and V-Force) are priced in the $40-$209 range. Mattingly wood bats are available in Maple and Ash and range from $29-$89.<\/p>\n
Mattingly’s new line of 100% composite V-Grip BEAST bats features what the company labels Xtreme Weave Carbon (XWC) construction for “maximum power and durability”. They say that Mattingly’s Direct Power Transfer technology keeps the handle and taper area stiff for maximum power transfer to the Power Loaded Composite Sweet Spot barrel, which is designed for optimized flex to absorb energy and return it to the ball for maximum trampoline effect. The BEAST is available in Youth and Adult models ranging from $259-$349.<\/p>\n
