Caliburn Bat Company Overview<\/h3>\n
At Caliburn, every step of the bat-making process, from choosing each piece of wood to laser engraving the authentic company logo, is done by owner Don Erickson – a former college player and current high school head coach. He founded the company in 2001, after years of buying what he believed to be inferior wood bats from large, impersonal companies. Don knew that with his woodworking background, that he could build a better bat and decided to start turning his own bats for his kids.<\/p>\n
In less than a year, his hobby had turned into a thriving business – all based on word-of-mouth. Today, even as his company grows, Don continues to have his hand in every step of the bat making process.<\/p>\n
