Dove Tail Bats, operating out of Shirley Mills, ME, began as a separate cabinet-making business before expanding into the bat making industry with Dove Tail Bats.\u00a0 They claim part of their success, besides 30 years of experience working with wood, is their process of drying the wood that goes into creating the product before using it to make a bat.\u00a0 They dry their wood “from the outside in, therefore not compromising the structural integrity of the wood” in what might be considered, for some other bat companies, a slower process.\u00a0 All bats are made to order and finished with a hard clear coat.\u00a0 Prices on Dove Tail Bats range from $55.00 for youth bats to $79.95 for adult bats.<\/p>\n
