Just when we thought Major League Baseball was heading down the same road as the NFL (the No Fun League), they do something like this. The league lifted the recently-imposed ban on personalized bat knob stickers, deciding that allowing self-expression could be good for our national pastime after all.
Bryce “Let’s Make Baseball Fun Again” Harper made headlines last week when he added “100” emoji stickers to his bats during his chase for his milestone 100th home run. Many expected him to draw the ire of the commissioner’s office, but he was not disciplined.
