Rawlings Overview
Rawlings, founded in 1887 out of St. Louis, Missouri, focuses much of its energy on manufacturing baseball equipment (though they also manufacture equipment for other sports). Their headquarters are located in Town and Country, Missouri, relocated from Fenton, Missouri in 2005.
Rawlings’ baseball bats have grown in popularity in recent years, as the company that is most well known for their top-of-the-line baseball gloves has increased their presence in the baseball bat market. The 1975 acquisition of Adirondack bats became a major boost to their business during Mark McGwire’s history-making seasons when he used the Adirondack. They have continued to develop their highly-touted 5150 line of bats, including the top of the line 5150 Exogrid with Ph.D (passive hybrid damping) technology. They have also been the official major league baseball supplier since 1977.
Rawlings’ bat prices range from $12.99 to $399.99.
