Seven Pictures of Ty Cobb with His Baseball Bat

This week one lucky family found seven 100-year-old Ty Cobb baseball cards worth — wait for it — over $1,000,000 dollars! And it’s been all over the news, including on CBS Sports, Yahoo! Sports and the Associated Press. But here’s the original blog post by the official baseball card authenticator.

And although the lucky family has remained anonymous up to this point, and although they are apparently not baseball fans at all (gasp!), we would like to celebrate this amazing find with a photo gallery of Ty Cobb with his baseball bats.

Ty Cobb, like so many professional hitters during that era, used a Louisville Slugger bat — originally known as Hillerich & Bradsby. In fact, here’s a photo from Sports Collectors Daily of a Ty Cobb Slugger that was sold for $253,000.

So without further ado, enjoy these seven (we couldn’t find 1,000,000) historical #BatPics of Ty Cobb and his #SexyBats.
