Pitchers are notoriously poor hitters. But can typically at least lay down an average sacrifice bunt. But apparently the teammates of Miami Marlins’ pitcher Justin Nicolino disagree.
After being teased profusely for his weak bunting abilities, even in batting practice, Nicolino’s teammates finally came to the rescue with the largest bat I’m sure you’ve ever seen used by a professional player.
And apparently, it still took him three tries to succeed laying down this BP bunt.
So if you ever feel insecure about your bunting abilities. Remember there is a professional athlete worse than you. And there’s a solution for your problems, also — in the form of a 5-foot-long bat.
