Game-used baseball bats are extremely popular baseball collectibles. While many collectors enjoy collecting baseball cards or autographs, many more today are moving towards items that are rarer and more unique, such as baseball bats used in an actual game by their favorite player.
The demand for game used equipment is growing, and as a result many more players are offering their equipment to memorabilia dealers – sometimes even rotating through equipment during a game so they can sell it as “game used”!
Many baseball umpires have even gotten into a similar act, by themselves keeping baseballs used in important games, and later selling their collections. As with many collectibles, buyer beware – many so called game bats are fakes – make sure to buy from trusted dealers.
